Getting There

No matter which part of the world you're traveling from, getting to Izmir's Adnan Menderes Airport is easy. We recommend doing a search via skyscanner as this website includes smaller airlines that run fares within Turkey.

For those traveling from the Netherlands, you can search for direct flights into Izmir (usually via Sunexpress or Corendon Airlines) or many 1-stop alternatives that make a layover in Istanbul. There are flights available from Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Düsseldorf. Where Düsseldorf is cheaper and has more convenient departure times.

For those traveling from the US, look for Turkish Airlines flights to Izmir with a layover in Istanbul.

Once you book your flights, please forward your itinerary to melikemete1@gmail.com so we can arrange shuttle services to pick you up upon arrival into Izmir Airport. Çeşme is a short one-hour drive away.

Dutch and American citizens, don't need visas to enter Turkey.

Hotels & Housing

Çeşme is a relatively small peninsula with many options for hotels and lodging. Especially in Alaçatı, an historical town, there are many nice options to choose from and you generally can't go wrong with any of the hotels. Below are some recommendations.

Alaçatı is the central old town with many boutique hotels, bars, restaurants, and lots of shopping 10 min drive from the beach (including wind/ kitesurfing beaches).

Boyalık / Ilıca is our favorite neighborhood in Çeşme, with the best beaches within walking distance. More residential, but a short 10-15 minutes drive to bars and restaurants.

  • Atrium Apart Hotel: Good value for money, ok amenities but easy access to great swimming/beautiful beaches.

  • Radissun Blu: An older hotel that hasn't been upgraded much over the years but it has its own fantastic beach and good value for money. Another option in this same category is Boyalik Beach Hotel

  • Altın Yunus Resort & Spa: Another older hotel but a trusted staple for many years. Altın Yunus is located in one of the best places in Cesme directly on the beach and close to hiking trails.

For those of you who would like to rent a house with a group, we recommend booking from May onwards and looking on Airbnb and Booking.com for options first. If you can't find something to your liking online, we may also be able to help with renting beachside villas. Do not hesitate to let us know if this is something you want to explore. Since most landlords wait to rent out their houses longer term first, we recommend waiting until May to book house rentals. Do not worry, you will certainly find a spot!
